The business of raising snails
Nuhu’s business is breeding and growing snails for the restaurant market in Ghana and beyond.

After being collected from thick forests all over Eastern Region, the snails are put in quarantine and fed a special diet to ensure they are clean, safe and free of any toxins.

Daily requirements in caring for the snails include misting the air to keep the snails cool, feeding and watering the snails, cleaning the pens and removing left over leaves. Once a week, Nuhu also aerates the soil to help keep the plants and snails healthy.

When the snails have reached the right size and are looking plump and juicy, Nuhu carefully prepares boxes for transport.

Nuhu also breeds snails.
Did you know that snails are hermaphrodites? That is, they have both male and female sex organs,a snail can lay between 90 and 130 eggs within a few weeks.

Nuhu’s business is a supplier of snails to a small size commercial market and he follows strict guidelines established by them to ensure only the finest quality, toxin-free snails are produced for the demanding restaurant market.

I am very picky on what my rabbits eat. They get the highest quality of everything possible and I try to prepare my feed with organic grains, mix ingredients including fresh fruits and vegetables.

My rabbits are fed twice a day, every 12 hours. They get fed at 6:30am and 7:30pm. Every morning the rabbits are fed with grain mix.  I then feed them again in the evening with fresh vegetables and their favourite grass.
My rabbits are always healthy,happy and well fed for everyone.
